Who We Are
Windlestraw started the way a lot of modern things do—by accident, curiosity, and a download button. When Scott got his first music production software, he dove in headfirst, experimenting with anything that made noise. Beats, loops, synths... if it had a sound, he tried to shape it. But somewhere along the way, when he turned his attention to country music and something clicked. The songs stopped feeling like experiments and started feeling like they already existed, he just had to write them down.
Scott handles the heart of it all: the lyrics and the melodies. Every story, every hook, every late-night idea comes straight from him. From there, he leans on his production tools and AI collaborators to help bring those ideas to life, filling in the instruments, shaping the sound, and yes, even doing the singing.
Because if there's one thing Scott knows, it's this: not every songwriter is meant to be heard. His voice isn't bad, it's just better experienced the way Bigfoot is... talked about, never confirmed.
Windlestraw lives in that space between front porch storytelling and modern creation. It's country at its core, but built with whatever tools it takes to make the song feel right. And while right now it exists in software and imagination, the goal is simple: one day, bring Windlestraw out of the digital world and into the real one with a full band, real instruments, and songs that finally get to breathe in front of a live crowd.
